DMX, born Earl Simmons, is a Hardcore rapper from Yonkers, New York. He was has been extremely successful since the release of his first album in 1997 which went to #1 and platinum in the Billboard Charts, along with the four which succeeded it. Unluckily, his last album "Year of the Dog...Again" went to #2 (5 consecutive chart toppers, from debut, isn't ... ...of rap in which he backs up his hardcore lyrics with various growls and barks to intimidate to listeners and these have stuck with his throughout his career. With 40 just around the corner, I'd think that he's probably going to think about stopping the whole Dog image, but gimmicks work in this game, and with so few around, it's good to see that he is still on the top of his game.
