...of Drum and Bass and Acoustic music in which Martyn combines his Celtic roots with his love of the music of Islam and Scandinavia. This track alone inspired me to ger the album at the earliest oportunity and it is playing now as I write this. Even though I love the voice of Kate Rusby the traditional singing of Martin Carthy and the precise guitar playing of Martin Simpson to name but a few and my cd collection has multiplied 50 fold since I discoverd Folk/Celtic/English Roots music Bothy Culture remains a firm favourite, Copied to minidisc it travels in my van with me and the Yorkshire Dales often echo to the tracks on the CD. One occasion up a deserted track in the middle of winter and not another soul insight I just left the door open and stepped out onto the fresh snow. ...Private Emotion by Ricky Martin is very different to the style of the other songs that he has released. The song is not upbeat and latino like the others, but this one is completely different in the way that it is more romantic. And it is a duet... although I am not sure who he sung it with. The song is great at setting the mood and it is soft and definitely full of originality. The song is excellent and full of great lyrics, a good tune (that sounds different and really sticks in your head). Overall the song is very good.... Read review
