Advantages: Lyrics, great indie-pop, remastered and bonus tracks Disadvantages: Not entirely justified for already firm Five fans
...When I put Whatever and Ever Amen in my cd player I get hit with nostalgia and happiness. I spent a good deal of high school listening to these records with Amen definitely ranking up there.
The band, self-described as 'punk rock for pussies', accurately reference this in the opening track 'One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces' with incredibly aggressive piano playing and distorted bass. Folds' lyrics may see his tongue stuck firmly in his cheek for a good deal of the time, but his references are so cleverly ironic while being brutally honest they hit remarkably close to the heart.
Obvious standouts on 'Amen' here are 'Song for the Dumped', radio hit 'Brick' and 'Kate' but there is not one weak track on the entire album. In fact after repeated listens I'm sure most will find the album-only tracks surprisingly stronger. 'Selfless...

Advantages: Great music, Great sound Disadvantages: so much beyond this
..." appeared on this album along with many more great tunes.
This album was my first introduction to the EverlyBrothers and i have never looked back. I have yet to find an artist(s) that i like better.
In 1973 they parted and both persued solo careers. Before their split they relesed an album called " Take of the seventies" which included great covers such as "Lay Lady Lay" (Bob Dylan) & "The Air That I Breath" (The Hollies)
In 1983 they got back together again for the first time in 10 years when they held their reunion concert.
They released a new single "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" whith which they restarted their Duet career.

Advantages: Fabulous production, a real mix of styles Disadvantages: None!
...throwing in a bit of the unexpected. This album is probably their most accesible to date, there is literally something on here that will appeal to everyone, whatever your taste in music. I really can't pick a favourite track off the album. The album art is big, dominant and in your face. "Push The Button" really does show that The Chemical Brothers are still on top of their game. If you ever have the chance to see the Chemical Brothers Live at a festival make sure you do; they put on one of the best lives shows I have ever seen, it is truely amazing.
So, all it really remains for me to say is, go buy this album. You will not be disappointed.
