COSTA DEL SOL
Benalmadea Costa,
I'm afraid I was always a bit of a 'travel snob' regarding the Costa del Sol. I envisaged the types of scene in TV's Benadorm, a type of Blackpool with sun.
As members of a vacation club ( it was then Sunterra now Diamon Resorts) we had the opportunity for a weeks break for relatively few points at the Sahara Sunset in Benalmadea Costa, as we could get Easy Jet airfairs to Malaga for a very low price we decided to try it.
We have been three times more since then - so needless to say I was not disappointed.
Benalmadena is only 15 kilometers from Malaga Airport, car hire is easily obtainable but it is only 25 euros for a taxi from the airport and there are plenty of excursions and good public transport available in the resort. It is set on the Costa del Sol between ...
Advantages: Great humour, brilliant story and entertainment throughout Disadvantages: none
on the rocks, especially as Rodney is becoming a little bit jealous about Cassandra?s new boss at the bank.

But, as usual, with Del in charge, things don?t quite go to plan, with some explosive results, leaving them all stranded in Margate on a bank holiday ...
Advantages: Plenty of variety, not all designer, lots of affordable places, food and cinema. Disadvantages: You might fall in love with designer clothes in the windows!
of bars and takeaway cafes, selling paninis, sandwiches and drinks but to be honest it's aimed at the tourists, so is more expensive than necessary. Instead, you should definitely head down any of the side streets, particularly the east side, such as Via del Condotti because you can get some seriously amazing food for less money and also have the option to sit down. These streets are less crowded too, which means if you did have a takeaway lunch then you're better off eating it here too - it's just a lot nicer.
If you get fed up of shopping, or more likely the boys get tired of it, then send them in the direction of Piazza del Popolo - there's a cinema right at the end of the street that screens English/American films in the original language. Great way to stop the moaning and give you more time for shopping!
There is a little less ...
