...At first glance you would imagine the CD to be the normal mainstream nonsense with Russell Watson singing Amor ti Vieta, but when looking at the back you do see that this is a quality CD. So lights down low CD player on high and a nice Glass of wine and you are ready for an audio trip through operatic tenor modern history. Track List: (THERE ARE 27 TRACKS IF YOU WANT A SUMMARY OF EACH ONE THEN READ ON OTHERWISE HEAD FOR BOTTOM OF REVIEW) Track 1: O Paradis sung by Enrico Caruso What a start to the Cd. Advantages: Amazing powerhouse drumming, long solos.
Disadvantages: All tracks sound stylistically the same.

...This album, Dennis Chambers, a world class drummer plays along with some world class musicians like Scofield (guitar), Michael Brecker (tenor saxophone), Randy Brecker (trumpet), Jim Beard (Clavinet, organ, keyboards and synthesizer) and Will Lee (bass guitar). I've seen Dennis play the drums live and normally when he's playing to a backing track or in a group he plays more drum solos and fills than grooves. But in this album he's actually laying down more grooves and holding them. Dennis chambers typical album consists mainly of funky bass line melodies and funky upbeat drum beats. But in this Outbreak album it's different to all his others. I t was much more brass and saxophone orientated than his usual styles. To me, I think its one of the best fusion albums. Beautiful; a great new tenor voice

Advantages: Great voice!
Disadvantages: None!

...Andrea Bocelli is a great new talent when it comes to tenor voices, and this is another excellent album. He does more than justice to the three versions of 'Ave Maria' here (including one which wasn't familiar to me), and altogether this is a very appealing choice of arias to listen to during a quiet evening by the fire or - my choice - at full volume in the car! The inclusion of a couple of Christmas carols is no doubt because of its original release just before Christmas, but that still doesn't stop me enjoying it in July. If you're not already a fan of classical choral music, this might not appeal as much as Romanza would; but if you want something choral to listen to in the car, this is it!... Read review
