Speaking To Gary
I remember 10 years ago at a Gary Numan Convention in a hotel in Piccadilly looking forward to talking to Gary in the bar afterwards which I know is something he enjoys doing to his followers.
I got really excited at even the thought that I could speak to him, when it was less busy around him I took my chance and went for it.I walked straight upto to him and thumbled all I managed to say was"Can I have your autograph, please?"
He replied"I would do anything for you"!!
.Wow that was so kool...

Advantages: COVERS ALL THE HITS / GOOD INTRODUCTION / CHEAP Disadvantages: SHOULD BE A DOUBLE CD WITH HARD TO FIND TRACKS FOR THE DIEHARD FANS
...I’ve been a fan of Gary Numan since the early days (well 1979 !!!).
This Gary Numan 18 track CD was release in May 1999 on the Beggars Banquet Label and is basically yet another best of release.
However, if you are new to Gary Numan (even after twenty plus years), then this is a great introduction CD for you to explore and delight in the hits (old one’s and even older ones) from Gary Numan. The track listing consists of :
1. Cars - (Premier Mix)
2. I Die You Die
3. Are `Friends' Electric?
4. Down In The Park
5. We Are Glass
6. Bombers
7. We Take Mystery (To Bed)
8. She's Got Claws
9. Complex
10. Music For Chameleons
11. That's Too Bad
12. This Wreckage
13. Warriors
14. Love Needs No Disguise
15. White Boys And Heroes
16. Sister Surprise
17. Stormtrooper In Drag
18. Cars - (original version...

Advantages: Just a fantastic album. Sheer quality. Disadvantages: none.
...Last year Pure saw Eighties King, Gary Numan, make a triumphant entry into the new millennium. No retro- eighties stylings here, rather a full circle of influences taking him to a new place. 15 years ago Numan was inspiring the likes of Trent Resnor, Burton C Bell, and a whole raft of other people, who then spun off into the dark 'n' heavy hinterland, well away from the shiny pop world Numan had started out in. The turn of the century spun the wheel so it was them influencing him. 1999 saw Numan working in collaboration with the guys of Industrial-metal behemoths Fear Factory to produce the truly stunning cover of Cars. If you've seen the adverts for American Express Blue card recently - you've heard the beginning of that cover version. Halloween 1999 he made a guest appearance at Fear Factory's gig to perform it live at the Brixton...
