I’ve always wanted to be on Desert Island Discs, firstly to play my songs and secondly to be so rich and famous and intelligent that they’d want me on. So maybe if I put my 8 songs here, together with my book and luxury item then one day I’ll be on! I'm not exactly reviewing the programme here, but you can tell I love it! And since no one else has yet reviewed it I'm taking Artistic Licence. Desert Island Discs

Advantages: Tom Hanks and Wilson
Disadvantages: maybe a little long

stranded on the island, there is no soundtrack, you don't notice this to start with. = The Cast = Tom Hanks .... Chuck Noland Wilson the Volleyball .... Itself Nick Searcy .... Stan Helen Hunt .... Kelly Frears = Technical Details = Certificate: 12 Length: 143 mins = Bonus Material = On the first disc is the film and also an audio commentary from the director and other crew members which tells you a lot of interesting facts about how certain scenes were created. On the second disc you get several features. First one is the making of feature which is always useful as it does explain everything through behind the scene footage and interviews with the cast and crew. DESERT ISLAND DISCO

Advantages: PEACE AND QUIET
Disadvantages: NO PUBS....NO BINGO

Once again I am going to follow up one of my more serious ops with something a little more lighthearted. Now let me think .....If I was marooned on a desert island, what five items would I take with me? Music! ...... Now you might think that this was something that I really wouldnt need,but I dont see it that way at all.My singing is bad at the best of times but it is even worse when I dont have any background music to drown out the notes that dont quite make it to the pitch they are supposed to.....now picture me,stuck on my island, singing away, completely off key.If you were paddling by in you canoe and heard the noise and saw a loony woman, mouth open wailing like a Banshee Would you pull in and pick me up? No you wouldn't, you would paddle past as fast as you could,so you see I have to have my music, something groovy ...
