Advantages: Great songs, great playing Disadvantages: vocals an acquired taste
...Kevin Ayers has always had a reputation as being one of the great under-achievers of British Rock music. In many ways this is true because although Ayers had the looks, the talent, the rich baritone voice, the laconic charm and the charisma to be a star (Bryan Ferry would have given his right arm to be as naturally stylish as Kev), he never could quite get himself together enough to make the step up from cult figure status. Thing is, Kev didn't seem to care too much anyway. As long as he could afford to indulge his passion for fine wines and soak up the sun in the Med then he was perfectly content.
All of this made for a body of work that varies wildly in style and consistency, but when he was on form Ayers could seduce your ears like few other singer-songwriters.

I enjoyed listening to this collction of tracks taken from the game as they all fit in well with the B-Boy scene, however, I would have to say that for a game which focused so much on the Hip Hop genre, the prescence of that music is almost non-existent, therefore not representing the game in the best way possible. I did like the funk feel of it as this is how Hip Hop came about and in my opinion they did find the best examples of this influence for the CD....
