Advantages: 2 players can join in on the blandness Disadvantages: Long boring levels, 15 of them, anything but a skillful shmup
You'll find the exact same print of the story on the back of the case, in the instruction manual, and on the loading screen (if not the website as well) so you can't miss it. As the game comes on CD, it does take a while to get started - but don't bother!
Whilst it does go down as a Yoko shoot 'em up, meaning there is no adjusting the view as the full screen of the TV used, there is enough in Search & Destroy to suggest that those responsible for the game do not know what makes a shmup tick.
Graphically it's bland. When flying over a snowy level there are what appear to be polar bears but they don't move - such is the motionless backgrounds and uninspired level design. The bullets themselves only have a single colour but those of the player and enemy do differ. However, the bullets are easily disguised by the clouds - about their ...
Advantages: Free, easy to use Disadvantages: Needs to be run in tandum with other software
is understandable, (in some ways it's even preferable). Whilst it would be nice to have one, all-singing, all-dancing programme that would catch everything, the reality of it is is that there are so many viruses being produced that it's hard for one company to keep on top of all of them. I've never had to have more than two packages installed at anyone time and I think this is a fair trade off all things considered. I've also got to say that S&D picks up far more potential threats than others, so I can forgive the occasional one that slips through their searches. Also, given the fact it's freeware, people shouldn't be surprised that one or two things aren't covered.
The only way 'Spybot: Search & Destroy' would fail to protect your system is if you are constantly downloading things from "dodgy" places on the internet. All things ...
Advantages: conan retunns in his usual bad mood Disadvantages: special effects
The follow up to the successful Conan the Barbarian was not quite what I thought it would be. Made in 1984 the story line revolves around another Conan adventure which the evil Queen Tamaris has sent him on to retrieve a sacred horn that will summon a god and in return the queen will resurrect Conans lost love who died in the Conan the Barbarian.
Destroyer is directed by Richard Fleischer and Arnie plays the muscle-bound man with no pants again and the funny little wizard guy Akiro is also back, he is played by Mako. An even thinner and more pathetic looking guy replaces his thief friend Malek, who is played by a guy named Tracey Walter (certainly a fitting name for the character). On top of this travelling band is a woman warrior Zula (played by Grace Jones) whom Conan saves from slavery. The evil Queen Tamaris is played by Sarah ...
