Advantages: Detroit Rock City Disadvantages: a very mixed bag of tracks
Destroyer was Kiss' fourth studio recording. The New York City rock band, Paul Stanley (vocals, guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass), Ace Frehley (guitar, vocals) and Peter Criss (drums, cocaine), had become one of the USA's biggest live draws by the mid 70s, but were still yet to crack the lucrative albums market. It flopped, but DJ's started playing its B side, "Beth", which struck the proverbial chord across the country and ended up being a million seller, in its turn propelling the album back up the charts ...

They destroy! Review ofDestroyer [Remastered] - Kissby

Advantages: Original styling Disadvantages: Short - we want more!
...the band a sound on Destroyer that is so classy it's unreal. The only other time they will have a sound that is anywhere near this in terms of originality is Creatures of the Night.
New anthems are created in Detroit Rock City and Flaming Youth, with Gene living up to his Demon image on Sweet Pain. The album also introduces Kiss' first ballad - Beth - which made the US charts, albeit on the strength of B-side.

Destroyer by Kiss Review ofDestroyer [Remastered] - Kissby
CPTDANIELS
Advantages: An album full of classic rock tracks Disadvantages: only 9 songs
This album helped to put kiss into the big time as far as mass appeal particularly in their native America.
It was the fourth album from the glam rock four piece group.
Not sure if the band needed the Glam make-up and outfits as they were talented enough without it. But it certainly helped then stand out in the music business. Nt to mention the merchandising they spun from it!
It has a good studio and quality feel to it.
It showed the band were ... ...and an anthem.
With many asorted and very enjoyable tracks.
Using all the bands vocals on different tracks.
Even a great ballard song by drummer Peter Criss called 'Beth'.
My favourites are Detriot Rock City and Shout it out Loud.
I would recommend this to any kiss or not kiss fan alike. To try it as there are different styles employed which allow for different tastes. ...
