Advantages: A first class introduction to pop song writing Disadvantages: Maybe too "pop" for some tastes
...OVERVIEW
The album that spawned a thousand other "gold" compilations, none of which have reached the heady heights of ABBA "gold". This album barely left the u.k album chart in the nineties and deservedly so in my humble opinion. I discovered ABBA at the tender age of 13 in 1991 when ABBA re-released dancing queen to coincide with the release of "gold". I was instantly captivated and soon afterwards bought "gold" for myself.
TRACKS
Packed full of pop gems from disco anthems (dancing queen, voulez vous and gimme gimme gimme) to ballads (I have a dream and winner takes it all). My personal favorites are s.o.s and lay all your love on me, the former of which is a disco track that builds throughout the song until it reaches a frenetic "hands in the air" euphoria. Other standouts are the spanish influenced "fernando" and rock...

Advantages: Good tracks, bonus material Disadvantages: A few too many mixes
...Have already rated the previous album (put your hands up vol.1) and many of my points apply to this album aswell. After continually listening to the first album i decided to buy this one aswell and again i was not disappointed.
There is again a brilliant mix of tracks over 3 CD's including several remixes and club mixes such as that of Camille Jonesvs Fedded le Grande-The Creeps (club mix). This i believe to be one of the best but there are 62 other tunes that you will just want to get up and dance to.
Again, as like the previous album there is bonus content on CD1 including 3 awesomw music videos including Fedde Le Grande-Put your hands up and Alex Gaudino-Destination Calabria. This is a really nice touch to the album and makes it a real gem....

Advantages: Having Alive 1,2 & 3 means Alive 4 is on its way WOO HOO Disadvantages: This album does'nt sound as live as Alive & Alive II
...Kulick sadly it does'nt sound very live,Ok there is the crowd screaming away in the back ground but it still does nothing to excite me like the other 2 live albums did,
Even now when I listen to Alive 1 & 2 my hair on the back of my neck stands up.Is it because Ace is'nt playing on here?.
The whole album seems to sound very empty & messed about with in a studio.Perhaps it was? who knows? But I would like to hear it raw & rough like all live rock bands are.As I can only wait for Alive 4 I hope it will be better, But hey Ace will be on there so it will be.
Song's on this album from the start are.
Creatures of the night.
Deuce.
I just wanna.
Unholy.
Heavans on fire.
Watching you.
Domino.
I was made for loving you.
I still love you.
Rock'n'roll all nite.
Lick it up.
Forever.
Take it off.
I love it loud.
Detroit rock city...
