sort of thing is also depicted in films such as "sixth sense" or tv series such as "Ghost Whisperer " it somehow comes across as this is where it is best left. I think if i win the lottery or the pools i will go to one of the expensive mediums and see how much they can get out of me, sounds like a good challenge. " Ghost Whisperer" as i have said is a great series. One thing that makes these sort of programmes so good is that "what if factor" This added in with the mystery side makes it great viewing. Its good to see a programme with that diffent angle. I mean its no different really from programmes like "Touched by an Angel" or even "The A Team" in a sense that they all have particular skills to assist someone somewhere with the troubles in their life. Review of Ghost Whisperer

Great compliment to 'The Black Album'

Advantages: Brilliant concert, interesting production clips, high quality, good narrative.
Disadvantages: Some of the guest performances are a bit short and disappointing.

Having been lucky enough to see Jay-Z in concert before he 'hung up his mic', I think I am in a good position to give a review of this DVD. The film is based on the Madison Square Garden performance in 2003, shortly after the realease of The Black Album. The film is narrated by the man himself and he talks about some of the highlights and events of his career, leading up to the release of the album and this film. It is very well directed, with production and backstage scenes interspursed with the show, which covers songs from several of his albums. The backstage scenes arent the best, but the production clips are good, as you get to see how the songs are put together and the end product. The producers include Kanye West, Pharell and Rick Rubin, but in my opinion the best scene is when Timbaland plays Jay-Z the 'Dirt Off Your ...

Review of Jay Z - Fade To Black (DVD)

Back to Black is a dark delight

Advantages: Stunning vocals and lyrics
Disadvantages: Little too much angst (not much though)

I was extremely pleased to see 'Back to black' as the product of the week for review. Anyone who has read my review of Amy's first album, 'Frank' will already know what I think of her. She is the most unique vocal talent to come out of the UK since, well, Marianne Faithful, and this album won no less than 5 grammy's, and recieved an outstanding commentary from Herbie Hancock who is, without a doubt a jazz legend. After recieving the award for best album Amy said: "I am so proud of this album" "I put my heart and soul into it and it's wicked to be recognized in this way. I feel truly honored to be mentioned in the same breath as many of the artists present tonight and to win is even more amazing!"
