What can I say about this film that has not already been said! Movie is still on everyones lips. After seeing this movie back in 80's every girls want to be "Baby" and still " No one leave Baby to corner" AWWWW...... Dirty Dancing movie is SO CLASSIC!!!

Sound track is still more than popular and specially now when movie is coming back to cinemas. So what is all about???
A seemingly impossible romance developes between a summer dance instructor from South Philadephia and the teenage daughter of a well-to-do Doctor from New York while she is on vacation with her family at a Catskills Mountain Resort. Set in the early sixties, Baby is the typical silver-spoon girl that has never had to go without. She learns a lot about herself and the tougher side of life on her journey to womanhood. Film is looking back to 60's but for me its so 80's!!!

Original movie Dirty Dancing (1987)was directed by Emile Ardolino (Director for exsample following movies: Sister Act, 3 Men and Little Lady, A Midsummer Night's Dream with Linda Gottlieb produced this amazing movie paced story by Eleanor Bergstein. Actually Eleanor Bergstein wrote movie as warm recollection of her own memories of trip with her parents to Catskills holiday camp just like "Kellerman's" in movie.

Film was filmed at Mountain Lake in Virginia and at Lake Lure in North Carolina and it was low-budget film with no major stars. (because of this film Patrick Swayze became THE actor) Film budget was only 6 million dollars, the movie was a huge success earning whopping $513,954,274 in worldwide boxoffice totals. Vestron Pictures distributed this movie and it was release at August 21, 1987 and it's running time is100 min.Language: English.

Its the summer of 1963 and Baby is stuck at the Catskills (holiday resort) with her parents. Attempting to make the best of the situation, Baby attends the organized classes on merengue dancing and wig demonstration. Suddenly, all of that changes when she meets Johnny Castle, the resort's dance instructor. With Johnny, Baby learns the steps to a new dance--a dirty dance--that allows her to discover new strengths and new talents in order to define her place in a rapidly changing world. Under the influence of Rhythm and Blues, Baby can now express herself and her love for Johnny.

At I still remember the first lines..."That was the summer of 1963, when everybody called me Baby, and it didn't occur to me to mind. That was before President Kennedy was shot, before the Beatles, when I couldn't wait to join the Peace Corps, and I thought I'd never find a guy as great as my dad. That was the summer we went to Kellerman's." (awwww.....and rest is history)

The film ends with the formal ballroom being essentially transformed into a nightclub where the snobby upper-class patrons and the working class kids bring together all their own styles of dance, proving that dance and music and above all love do not know class barriers. And that was what it was all about in 80's, be free and rebel and just dance and dance!!! I think Dirty Dancing is one and only the best dance movie ever made.

Movie is timeless summer love story is a classic and will never be dated and what a chemistry between Swaze and Grey got, wow, the movie's direction, the INCREDIBLE dancing,I can't even count how many times I've seen Dirty Dancing and I still love it, every moment on it.

Dirty Dancing is the original soundtrack (Motion Picture,) This album became a huge commercial success in the USA. It spent 18 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 album sales charts and went platinum eleven times. It spawned a follow-up album titled "More Dirty Dancing".
