Dirty dancing has been since 1987 ans its still as popular in 2004 as it was then.
What is the film about -
The Houseman family go on holiday and baby, there youngest daughter meets Johnny Castle who teaches dance at a family Summer Camp and in his off hours Dirty Dances with the other dancers. She learns a routine so that one of the women can recover from an abortion and becomes Johnny's lover. As the summer winds down, Each must come to grips with responsibility and love and others' expectations.
Its an amazing story of love and the love and dancing.
This album which i recieved as a gift is my treasure, its at the moment one of my favourites cd's of all time because my love for the film and its music makes me love the album.
Every track on the album is on the film, and its played in sequence of how each of the songs are played in the movie. Because its played in this sequence, it makes tyou think back to the parts in the movie, and makes you wana become a dancer listening to it.
Dirty Dancing is a special film for me and because of that so its my soundtrack as it reminds me of why the film is so specal to me.

2. Big Girls Don’t Cry - an ok song once you get used to it.its played when baby and her family arrive at summer camp

20. Love Is Strange - i liked this song, i didnt get to head all the song in the film , but its not bad when you hear all of it, - playued when jonny and baby are in this flat dancing
24. She’s Like The Wind - amazing song - sung by Patick Swayze - played when he was for leaving.
25. Kellerman’s Anthem - this song is just part of the film - at the end when summer camp is over, they are rejoicing the end of the summer.
26. (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life - the finally - played at the very end of the show where the final dance of the season is danced by jonny and baby, this song made this film famous Totally brill!!
Some of the best tracks are on this CD, "Hungry Eyes" "Love Is Strange" "She's Like The Wind" and of course, who could forget, the song that practically made this movie - "I've Had The Time Of My Life".
THIIS ALBUM IS A COLLECTORS ITEM FROM AN ALL TIME FAVOURITE MOVIE. Y OU WONT REGRET IT!
