I bought this album after going to a Dirty Dancing tribute night and having a great time! Everyone has seen the film a great love story but i think the choice of songs is what made it a cult classic. The songs on the album are in the order they appear in the film and anyone who has seen the film as many times as me can link the song to the scene in the film. The songs are as follows:
1. BE MY BABY by the Ronettes ( this is one to sing along to, up tempo chorus that may have you on your feet)!
2. BIG GIRLS DONT CRY by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons ( you will be singing along to this one)
3. MERENGUE by Michael Lloyd and Le Disc (this is where some people may want to skip if you are not keen on the Ballroom numbers)
4. TROT THE FOX by Michael Lloyd and Le Disc ( another Ballroom number)
5. JOHNNY'S MAMBO by Michael Lloyd and Le Disc ( another Ballroom number )!
6. TIME OF MY LIFE (instrumental version) by The John Morris Orchestra
7. WHERE ARE YOU TONIGHT? by Tom Johnston
8. DO YOU LOVE ME by The Contours ( Brill song this makes me dance and sing at the top of my voice, up tempo)
9. LOVE MAN By Otis Redding ( this is where Jonny trys to show Baby how to dance, another one to dance to!
11. WIPEOUT By The Surfaris ( no singing in this, a tune even people who have not seen Dirty Dancing will have heard before)
12. HUNGRY EYES By Eric Carmem ( a great power ballad)
13. OVERLOAD By Zappacosta
14. HEY BABY By Bruce Channel ( will have you singing along and swaying side to side, everytime i hear this i have to stop myself from adding the oohh aahh!
15. DE TODO UN POCO By Michael Lloyd and Le Disc ( Ballroom number)
16. SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL By The Drifters ( a slow song, classic Drifters) 17. THESE ARMS OF MINE By Otis Redding ( another slow song, a golden oldie)
18. CRY TO ME By Solomon Burke ( another slow song, makes me think of ...........
19. WILL YOU LOVE ME TOMORROW By The Shirelles
20. LOVE IS STRANGE By Mickey and Sylvia ( a fun song, soooo embarasing when you are caught singing it!)
21. YOU DONT OWN ME By The Blow Monkeys ( one of my least favorite, listen to the singer's voice, my little brother can do it perfectly!

23. IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT By The Five Satins ( I love this song, a golden oldie, if you like stuff by groups like the Drifters you will love this!)
24. SHE'S LIKE THE WIND By Patrick Swayze featuring Wendy Fraser ( so he can sing as well as act, this is a slow love song.)
25. KELLERMAN'S ANTHEM By Emile Bergstein Chorale
26. ( I'VE HAD) THE TIME OF MY LIFE By Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes ( The one everyone knows, wher they do the dance at the end, LOVE IT!
This is a great Soundtrack to listen to with your friends when you are getting ready to go out at night. You will be ready to dance all night!
