Advantages: Moore gets better with age! Disadvantages: Only 10 songs
...I have been listening to GaryMoore for a long time now and I believe his blues albums are his best work. "Old New Ballads Blues" is exactly as it sounds. 4 Old blues songs that Gary makes is own, 6 penned by Gary, including an instrumental and all 10 vary in tempo with some lovely slow blues.
Gary and his trusty Gibson have done it again and this album leaves you feeling mellow / relaxed and exilerated at the same time!
The only flaw is the fact that there are only 10 songs on the album. I personally look for between 12 and 16 songs so, for me, that was a bit of a let down.
This is a must for any blues fan. I can't wait to see him on his UK tour in Glasgow in May!!!...

A long on off friendship with Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott comes to an end with Lynotts death in 1986, and this album was released the following year. The songs seem to take Moore back to his roots and is considered by many to be his best non-blues album, a flurry of which were to follow...

...This music is for you defintaly if you like hard rock or punk.I enjoy this genre of music and this music really fasinated me i felt alive and up in the clounds.this really got my heart beat pounding and my body wanted to dance.I couldnt control my behaviour the music whisked me away into a dream land for a few moments. whilst listening to we want more by GaryMoore. I feel this song would attract many hard rock or punk rock fans and is alot better than the put together and manufacter bands these days. This is very original piece of rock music and the listener needs to have a good understaning of rock and punk culture to relate to this music....
