Mostly from the 80s, not many hits & almost no disco tracks

Disadvantages: The rest of the tracks are rubbish

Well the title itself is a misnomer for starters as the disco era was a fairly short period during the mid 1970's as disco was ousted from the music scene by Punk and the 80's were ruled by 2 Tone Ska then the New Romantics and synth music at least as far as the UK went any way. Disco may have lived on into the 80's in America but it was replaced by electro, hip hop then rap followed by House music. Wikipedia even openly admits that disco died in 1979 but also states "the genre continued to be popular elsewhere during the 1980s", probably in less fashionable countries that hadn't adopted whatever was popular from England or America by then. Advantages: A few scarface film samples
Disadvantages: Nearly the whole thing

Many people have been influenced by the scarface film and the rap genre has especially referenced to it man songs. This is now an official compilation of songs with money, power and respect themes. as you would imagine, all are rap. Put together in 2003, this def jam idea includes songs by Nas, Mobb Deep and Notorious BIG, some made especially for the album some old tracks that just fit. None appear in the film but there are samples and dialouge used from the picture. Tracks Its Mine - Mobb Deep & Nas. Scarface cues used as the sample in this one which was originally put t ogether in 99. A good relevant track to start the album Yeo - Cam'ron. The Only CD You Need For Disco

Advantages: Fantastic Variety
Disadvantages: None

I would recommend this to anyone, young people and older people. Anyone who likes 70's music. The variety of music on this CD is much more than any other disco CD I have seen. This is the type of CD that you can put on in your car while driving to work and it will cheer up your day or get you in the mood for a party. The album is full of oldies but goodies, that make you want to sing and dance. Ofcourse it holds all of the 70's classics like The Jacksons, Earth Wind and Fire and Candi Staton, which you find on all other 70's and disco cd's but 101 Disco Anthems has so much more "Hustle" to offer! ...
