...minute live set from Birmingham which was then released in 2001called ALIVE 1997. Homework was a massive album so when i heard this album of one of their live sets was released i expected big things. And that is exactly what you get and much more, this whole recording is a twisted mix of tracks taken from the album Homework, tracks included in the mix are, Da Funk, Rollin' and Scratchin', Alive and im very sure there is more which i cannot make out. I did not really know what to expect from a live performance, but i could not have wished for anything better, Daft Punk are so good at literally teasing the listener by dropping a slight sample of a track which the audience will love and then as soon as you think its going to reach a climax they take it away and go into a massive build up with a crescendo of hi-hats, electronic sounds... ...I absolutey adore this album, the best money i have ever spent. I bought this album only a few months ago after being introduces to jazz and funk, and i'm still not bored of it. I love it, no matter how bad your days been it really gets you up and dancing. It contains some amazing artists like the Meters, Huey Piano Smith, Explosions, and Eddie Bo. I bought is for only £8 including postage, its brilliant. It doesn't matter what kind of music your normally into, i think this is something everyone can enjoy at all ages. Its great to get dancing to but really good for relxaing too, i always have it on in the background to study. If you haven't already got one, its the perfect CD to start your Funk collection. It also comes with a great booklet that tells you all about the style of music and the different artist on the CD to give you more... Read review

Advantages: Amazing, sublime and very daft

...Prepare for a completely biased opinion! I love Daft Punk. Ever since the day I heard 'Da Funk', these guys can do no wrong in my eyes. I don't think that Stardust (Thomas Bangalter's side project) 'Music Sounds Better' was overplayed. Why, I even have 'Da Funk' as the ringtone on my phone.
