We managed to get this DisneyChristmas compilation free with ipoints although it can be bought on Amazon for about £3.50. Originally this and another Christmas DVD were going to be extras in my daughters' christmas stockings but we then decided that it would be a good film to watch in the run up to Christmas instead.
There are a number of short films all with that Disney animation that we all know and love. There are some well known and well loved characters featured such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck as well as a not so well loved one - Cruella Devill! Overall the running time is only 58 minutes so it does not go on too long at all and also can be watched in small chunks too! With a U certificate it's suitable for even the youngest child.
The first short film is Mickey's Mixed Nuts which features both Mickey and Minnie ...
Advantages: Lots of big tunes Disadvantages: One average tune
?Christmas Rap? was released in 1987 as a compilation of works which bring together Christmas-themed rap tunes from the period that bridged the Middle-School phase or first 'New School' (1983-1987) to the Golden Age (1988-1993) where Hip Hop is concerned. Advantages: Good Songs, No Fillers Disadvantages: Old Songs in a New Package
This album includes all the usual festive classics that you expect to hear droning from every department store and supermarket as from the middle of October every year. The up side to this album is that they haven't padded out the track list with lesser known songs which is great if you don't like having to keep skipping tracks. The downside is that there aren't many modern songs on here which is a shame given that this is a pretty modern release. The only up-to-date track is "Santa Baby" by Kylie Minogue and even that is simply a re-recording of a classic Christmashit! The rest of the album consists of the usual festive tracks like "Do They Know It's Christmas?" by Band Aid and "Mistletoe and Wine" by Cliff Richard.
