Having boys who are big fans of the Disney film Cars I had to snap this CD up when I saw it. The cover of the CD has a picture of Mater and Lightening McQueen and the title at the top in white lettering and also writing at the bottom saying that this is the sing along version with a song book included. The back of the CD again has a small picture of Mater and Lightening at the side and the track list on a red background to the other side.
THE TRACKS
There are 8 tracks which have vocals, these are:-
1 - Real Gone - The lead vocals on this track are by Laura Lynn. The song has a kind of rock feel and is very lively.
2 - Life is a Highway - The lead vocals on this track are by Neil Donell. The song has a real up tempo feel and always makes me feel good when I hear it.
3 - Find Yourself - Lead vocals are by David Jeremiah ...
Advantages: Massive variety, hours of fun! Disadvantages: Some not too keen on!
for childrens' parties and such, but it's not the best for just listening to as a track! Another memorable track from the classic Disney film!
5) The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room
I have no idea what this track is from! It's very much a tribal song, quite 'boingy'! It's beat is quite steady, and I think I enjoyed it more than I expected to, given the weird and unpredictable title! If I were to make a guess, I'd say it originated from a Disney resort again, most likely an old song!
6) You've Got A Friend In Me (Toy Story)
I've never really seen Toy Story properly, but I am quite familiar with this song! I think the majority of people are - it is often used in various other films and shows etc. It's so peaceful and emotional, but at the same time it is heart-wrenching! I've no idea how it fits in with the film though!
7) The Ugly Bug Ball (Summer ...
Advantages: Fabulous Musical Score and Tunes thats will get you Dancing in Your Seat. Disadvantages: None really, Just wish there was more on the albulm!
This is a wonderful CD that you can play in your car, kitchen CD player or on your MP3 player and it will have you bopping to the sounds of "ShBoom" and "Routee 66" until you collapse on the floor. There are not many songs that you can sing along to, about five in total out of the whole soundtrack, but these were well picked and if you liked them in the film you will love listening to them on your radio or MP3 player.
My favourites from this soundtrack is Routee 66, Sh Boom and Life is a Highway. The scores are also great to listen to and can put you in a relaxing mood, and some even remind me of the scenes from the movie whilst i was listening.
The product itself when i purchased it was not of a high quality, the CD case was flimsy and the inside could have been made to look more interesting, with prehaps characters from the film, so ...
