Jan Pienkowski was born in Warsaw in 1936 and eventually came to England just after WW2.
Jan has illustrated for a number of authors and was a pioneer of the modern pop-up books for children.
He has collaborated with Helen Nicoll on all of the Meg and Mog books and has his own website at www.janpienkowski.com
In true Meg and Mog fashion, Jan uses very rich, vibrant colours as backgrounds which really appeal to children. There are more white backgrounds in this book than others in the same series due to the 'setting' of the story, let's face it what other colour could you choose to depict snow?!

Advantages: Selma Blair is the ONLY good thing about this movie Disadvantages: I don't know if i can fit them all in here
The original of 'The Fog' was released back in 1980 and it was genuinely terrifying, still is to this day. When the remake was announced i was actually looking forward to it because i believed that even though the original was a good movie, it could have been improved on. Was it? No. Was there a point to remaking this movie if this is what they had planned. No. Is there anything they did right? Yes, they hired Selma Blair who plays 'Stevie Wayne' (who Adrienne Barbeau played in the original) who is the only person that keeps this movie alive throughout its drudging storyline. These European Directors are really beginning to annoy me!

Beginning in 2002 as a home-recorded solo experimental hip-hop project, Andrew Broder's Fog has evolved almost beyond recognition. On this fourth album, he is joined by two other musicians, transforming Fog into a live band playing classic 90s-style shambolic, lo-fi indie rock in the vein of Sebadoh or Pavement. The music may have changed but Broder's acerbic wordsmithery remains, and this album has been championed by critics as the one likely to catapult him to success.
