Divas Of House Music - Various Artists

Advantages: A good mix of styles stops it feeling stale
Disadvantages: We are hoarse in our house!

...My daughter has recently been going to a summer club and has become more passionate about listening to music as each week has gone on. As a treat, I took her shopping and let her choose a treat for herself. Not surprisingly, we headed to the nearest music store, and left an agonizing 20 minutes later with this CD, ‘Hairbrush Divas 2’. She made me read the track listing on countless CD’s, but this was the one which had her most excited. That was 1 week ago, and I think we have now listened to the CD at least 3 times every single day, so I feel I am more than qualified to review it! The CD has a mix of styles and eras, and even the choosiest listener will find at least one song which they can listen to, so it is ideal if you are having a few people around as most of them will be happy with the choice of music at some point during the night... Advantages: Great to boogie to, some good classics, great value for money.
Disadvantages: One or two out of place songs.

...Overview: I bought the first Hairbrush Divas album for my Stepdad for Christmas - He likes people like Kylie, so he really wanted the album. There were some really good songs on it, but this album does have some of the older and better tracks on. Deciding between the two albums would be a difficult choice, as both of them have an equal amount of brilliant songs, but I think the first album has a slightly bigger 'sing your heart out' factor. Still, this album has some real classics such as Ladies Night, Lost in Music, If I Can't Have You etc, and is the kind of album you would put on whilst getting ready for a night out. It really gets you in the mood for a good ol' boogie, and I can guarantee that you'll be singing into your hairbrush and dancing on the bed before you know it. Just don't blame me if you're late out! Advantages: Brilliant Album for the Summer

...Hairbrush Divas (Music you just have to sing along to) was the creation of centuryfm network and is a compilation album that "does exactly what it says on the tin". The album consists of a variety of mainly feelgood songs from old and new mixed up in a way that makes it an album for all ages, whether your're 9 or 90 :0) Either way, you'll be up singing and dancing at any party to this album. My favorite song of all on this album is TLC with Waterfalls. Althought it was played a lot at the time it was released and I heard it a bit too much, it's nice to hear it now - an at least I know all the words from hearing it so much before :0) THE SONGS (year in brackets) Disc 1 01.
