Advantages: Easy to listen to Songs Disadvantages: CD2 a bit poor

Advantages: Some great 70's and 80's tracks Disadvantages: May just be for disco (and similar style) fans
...along lyrics and arm waving melody. Other classics from the band include the Disco track "September" the beautiful ballad "After the love has gone" and the slightly more mellow "Fantasy"
It is track 11 though which stood out to me, I recognised it as soon as it started but didn't have the CD case to hand to find out the title, it was familiar but didn't sound like Earth, Wind & Fire released it originally, it was slightly swing based and my first thought was "this kinda sounds like something the Beatles would do" it was only when the lyrics kicked it that I realised it sounded Beatles-esque because it was a Beatles cover, "Got to get you into my life" is a really fun take on the original track, smoother than the original and I love listening to the track when it comes on, often skipping forward to hear it or repeating it once it...

Advantages: Catchy songs with wonderful lyrics Disadvantages: Takes a while to grow on you
...this, her trouble with record companies hasn't only been restricted to Universal; it appears to have followed her around for most of her career. Of all the songs on Bachelor No. 2, just one, 'Nothing is Good Enough', seems to address this directly, and highlights the impossible situation she found herself in:
"Critics at their worst could never criticize the way that you do. No, there's no one else, I find, to undermine or dash a hope quite like you"..."It doesn't really help that you can never say what you're looking for, but you'll know it when you hear it, know it when you see it walk through the door."
Of course, as with many of Mann's wonderful lyrics, the meaning can be taken in any number of ways. The above verse could be applied just as easily to a failed relationship as to her grievances with a past employer. The poetic...
