...I think Betty Boo played an important role in most of our lives at the turn of the 90s. For mine, much of her role was in her most legendary track "Doin' the Do" being used as the theme tune to the great Bitmap Brothers platformer Magic Pockets. That track is pretty timeless, but the same cannot be said for the rest of the album. It's no surprise that we haven't heard any of the other tracks on the album. "Doin' the Do" really is the height of the originality Betty expresses throughout the record. It isn't all that bad though, because they are all still quite groovy, just not fresh like "Doin' the Do" was when we first heard it. I wouldn't really suggest buying this album but it's not as bad as I have probably made it sound....

Advantages: Fantastic collection of songs Disadvantages: A shame that only 18 could be included
...The 1980's combination of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart was nothing less than complete genius.
The vocal skills of Annie Lennox teamed with the vocal, but maybe more instrumentally talented, Dave Stewart made an inspirational duo that managed to make a large impact on the music of the 1980's, the likes of which we will probably never see again from a union of just 2 people.
Released in 1991, Eurythmics Greatest Hits catalogues a success of chart topping singles from 1982-89, the very best from the numerous albums they made.
A mix of some quite up beat hits such as 'Sisters Are Doin' It For Themselves' (featuring Aretha Franklin) and 'Thorn In My Side' with the more ballad like 'Miracle Of Love' and 'Angel' makes this a must for the music collection of both Eurythmics fans and anyone with appreciation of great British pop....
