About Don McLean

Don McLean was born on October 2nd 1945 in New York.when he was five,he was very interesting in the music.in the early 1960s,Don beganed his recording career at the New York clubs. Most of the time, Don was a lyric singer.in1970, he wrote an Music vincent to Memory Van.Don's debut album TAPESTRY published the same year, but failed to sell. at the second year ,the artists federation signed with him and produced American Pie. This song amazingly successful.on the second list of the United Kingdom, ranked first in U.S.A.and this album has also been successful.Don has also been considered to be the most talented and most of the commercial value of new singers.
-
though at the beginning of Don's career was very good, however,at the mid-70s he had fallen into a predicament. But he was a strong self-awareness singer,in 1980 by the song Crying back to the charts. After that, he held many large-scale music performances. After 80's, Don steering the development of country music, but still in the mainstream of pop music.
My views after I listen

( here , I just focus on this song'''Vincent (Starry starry night)'''.and others ,i just brief to them)
Vincent (Starry starry night)

Maybe some people don’t know Don Mclean, but I think there may be many people have heard the song Vincent, which beginning is “starry, starry night”. This song is written for a work, which is full of strong expressive force, of Van Gogh. Van Gogh’s most famous painting is The Starry Night, just like the first lyric in Vincent, by Don Mclean. This song is written in 1889 when Van Gogh was living at St. Remy Mental Hospital. This famous painting The Starry Night is now kept in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The museum would play the famous song Vincent, Don Mclean, at the beginning and end of everyday.
-
Artist’s brushwork creates the feelings of moved and trembles, just like all the being in the painting are calling for life. You can feel vitality full of burning passion coming against our faces. The trees, like burning flame, and the sky which is made up of some odd moon and star and some magic vortex can give you the infection of pathetique and exciting. This infection penetrates depth of people’s heart straightly, makes the people see a brave new world like see for them. When Van Gogh painted Starry Night, never would have thought that 81 years later, American village folk singer Don Mclean would write a song for him after see the painting. Nobody knows whether the world which had been touched by him and had abandoned him can give him a little touched by this.

Sorry but the English doesn't make a lot of sense, and you have given more of a biography of Don McLean than actually told us much of anything about the actual CD that you're supposed to be reviewing.

Have you put parts of this text through a translator? Only lines like "this infection penetrates depth of people’s heart straightly" make no sense!
