Advantages: In a word.....Genius Disadvantages: Might just stop you from getting anything done
...face". The album does indeed have a very spiritual theme running through it and you can feel all the conflicts and beauty of a life in progress.
Later Coltrane (tenor sax) took band mates McCoy Turner (piano), Jimmy Garrison (Bass) and Elvin Jones (Drums) into VanGelder recording studio in New Jersey USA on December 9th 1964 and laid down what has become a landmark in Jazz.
Opening with "Acknowledgement", a three note bass riff that Coltrane weaves his improvisatory lines over in free time, extending his ideas as he goes whilst cymbals crash in the background, this leads into what for me is the best track of the four as the drums pick up the beat and he goes on a solo masterclass that never sounds like just technique. It is "true" music, straight from his heart to the horn.

Advantages: Great collaboration, rare recordings, rare footage Disadvantages: Maybe not your thang
...The term iconic is an overused term when it comes to the music industry with any reasonably successful band attracting the tag after just one or two hit albums. Of course, the real deal when it comes to that particular place in the Sun belongs to but a few. For the record, The Clash was just about as iconic as they come.
The Clash released their first album in 1977 at the inception of the recognised punk rock era. Having released “The Clash...

Advantages: Filled with the best songs, from one of the best ever Punk bands. Disadvantages: Not really any, except for the odd weak track.
...heard this it blew me away, it really set the standard for a live band for me. It’s absolutely a brilliant performance of a great song. My rating 9/10.
As you can see above this album is full of real gems. Rudi were a young and lively band with talent oozing out of them. I still don’t understand how them didn’t make it to the big time. But I am glad this album is out and it does the boys justice. It’s full of punk, pop and is bursting with blues. It’s energetic the whole way through and showcases the boy’s real talent.
The artwork of the album is brilliant with a patchwork of all of their old single covers, the liner-notes are done by Brian Young and tell the great story of Rudi's roller-coaster of a ride.
I definitely recommend it to anyone. I’m going to leave you here with a quote from Brian Young (vocalist of Rudi), talking about...
