When Matt Willis first went into the jungle I was backing him to win, as it looked like he was gonna drift into obscurity with his music career, and I loved his first 2 singles so I did NOT NOT NOT want that to happen.

This album is huge justification of why I didn't want that to happen, it is, in one politically correct phrase... EFFING AMAZING.

Here is my track by track break down of the album:

1 - HEY KID
I absolutely love this track, it is everything an anthemic pop song should be. The guitars give it enough edge to cater for even the most cynical pop music hater. The words are brilliant, and its actually pretty motivational. Brilliant vocal performance on an outstanding track - no wonder 2 movies used it as a theme tune!! ---10/10---

2 - LUXURY
Before the album was released, I trawled through website forums to find reviews for the tracks o this album, and I kept coming across a track called 'Luxury' which kept getting praised. When I heard it I wasn't that keen, because it sounds very 'Blink 182-esque' , but it has grown on me, and the swing beat carries it through. ---7/10---

3 - DON'T LET IT GO TO WASTE
Third single and title track. This track shows a more mellow Matt Willis (try sayin that after a few drinks!). It starts of with soft vocals and a piano, and is everything you would expect of a rock power ballad, as it bursts into a guitar driven BEAST of a song. It is a fantastic song with a brilliant emotive vocal performance from Mr Matt. ---9/10---

4 - UP ALL NIGHT
Now, now, now... what can I say about this!! If I ever wanted credit for writing a great pop song, I only wish it could be this one I got it for. This is my ultimate favourite song of 2006, and the video is absolutely amazing. Its a really FUN song, has an awesome beat, uses a great range of instruments (yes... there are XYLOPHONES in there!!) and to be honest... I cannot praise it enough. ---10/10---

5 - EX-GIRLFRIEND
This is also a great song... I love the vocals on here (especially where he sings "NOW YOU'VE STOLEN ALL OF MY CD'S". I love the guitar at the beginning doing the intro. A fantastic song... and he even says a naughty word... which I think is what the chart needs - more PUSHING BOUNDARIES!! ---8/10---

6 - FROM MYSELF BABY
This is where the album shows its diversity by introducing an acoustic track. I personally feel that this is the weak spot of the album. I just cannot get to like it. The vocals seem a bit low in key for Matt and it sounds a bit droney and cringy. Not one of my favourites at all ---4/10---

7 - FADE OUT
This is quite different to the rest of the tracks on the album. A very interesting chord sequence in the chorus, which gives it an angry GRRRRRR kinda feel. This isn't a bad thing at all, because it's a good song. It kinda sounds like Maroon 5's "Harder To Breathe" at the beginning. ---7/10---

8 - WHO YOU GONNA RUN TO
My my MY!!! THIS is a TUUUUUNE!!! This has has has HAS to be the next single, if it isn't then I'm coming after you and your people, Willis. This starts of with a single repetative strum of a guitar, and then Matt comes in n the song really gets going (especially when he says "AND I'M GONNA NEED A BEAT FROM THE DRUMS" and then the drums come in straight away, like magic). This is probably the most pop style song on the album, but that isn't a bad thing at all, its just great!! ---10/10---

9 - SOUND OF AMERICA
This is the most punk he gets on the album - vocal wise anyway. Its got a good beat - bit too heavy on the hi-hat, but never mind. Its a pounding track, which should get the rock fans blood pumping a bit. Its a good track, definately worth a listen. ---6/10---

10 - GET BORED
This sounds like Matt's went back to the Busted days, which isn't bad, because I like some of Busted songs (I dunno if thats a taboo, but never mind). Its a good track, a bit unoriginal, but its good nonetheless. Imagine Blink 182 and Busted collaborating, this is the love child they would create. ---6/10---

11 - FALLING INTO YOU
This is pretty good. A bit more mellow than the rest of the album, but its a nice floaty little tune. Nothing amazing, but a really nice melody - especially in the chorus. ---7/10---

Just like the other reviewer of this album, I'm not going to say anything about the secret track - because you should all go and buy the album to hear it, so Matt Willis gets himself a top 10 album. (see - free marketing, how kind am I).

I really really love the album, one of the best I've had over the last 12 months. I really hope he makes it big with this and that his record company PULL THEIR BIG FAT FINGERS OUT AND ACTUALLY PROMOTE HIM!!!!
