Advantages: DVD makes a great coaster. Disadvantages: An hour and a half of my life that I wont get back
The big red button phenomenon
Throughout your life, I am sure that you have had a moment when you know you should not do something, but you really want to. Like in the film's, when there is a big red button with 'don't push' written beside it. Try as you might, you cannot resist the urge to press it. Well, in my life this phenomenon has led me to grow my collection of films to include several movies from the 'video nasty' genre. Generally these films are terrible, and there should be no reason for you to want to watch them. However, there is something niggling me, right at the back of my otherwise empty head. Why was it banned? What is the reason why this film was initially not put up for public release?
Occasionally a real cracker comes up, like the scarily gory 'Cannibal Holocaust', or possibly the most disturbing film in ...
Advantages: A much better author without James Patterson Disadvantages: Didn't want the book to end.
Don?tLook Twice ? Andrew Gross
This is the second in the Ty Hauck series. It begins with a drive by shooting with everyone believing it is a revenge gang attack. But Ty, head detective soon finds out that it is so much more when a seemingly unrelated murder is connected to the only death in the drive by, and what?s worse Ty?s older brother Warren is involved. Ty goes through casino and political scams to find who is at the root of the problem.
This was my first Andrew Gross without James Patterson and I thought he was much better on his own. It has the fast paced storyline with its cliff-hangers that keeps you wanting more. The new relationship we see forming between Ty and a certain lady looks like it will provide lots of excitement in the next book as well as a huge change for Ty. I look forward to seeing how he handles it. ...
Advantages: It wastes an hours and a half, good acting by Donald Disadvantages: Venice looked awful, didn't spook or scare me
**I?m still waiting for Ciao to add the category for this so am posting it here for now and shall move it later, hence it not being just a film op but a DVD op too **
I blame my mum for this op as I wouldn?t have wondered back into HMV and bought this DVD if it was for her. This is one of them films that creeped my mum out back in the day, so I have bought it to see if it had the same effect on me. We shall see. Here?s my op (Dedicated to my lovely mummy) on, ?Don?tLook Now?, Mel xx
? What?s the film about?
John (Donald Sutherland) and Laura (Julie Christie) Baxter have just lost their daughter to a tragic drowning accident in Venice. While in a restaurant in between John?s helping churches be restored Laura meets 2 sisters, one of whom is blind and psychic.
The psychic sister says she can see Christine (The Baxter?s daughter ...

Boston: Brad Delp (vocals); Tom Scholz (guitar, bass guitar); Barry Goudreau (guitar); Fran Sheehan (bass guitar); Sib Hashian (drums). Recording information: 1978. Boston's many fans were upset that it took the band two years to follow up its monster debut. When it arrived, the sophomore effort DON'T LOOK BACK was a virtual rewrite of BOSTON. This didn't stop the masses from snapping up the album, which ultimately racked up sales in the multi-platinum range. Boston sounds inspired on the anthemic title track. Other standout tracks include "It's Easy" and "Man I'll Never Be." The hard-rocking "Don't Be Afraid" closes the album. And two years would prove to be nothing in light of the eight-year hiatus between DON'T LOOK BACK and Boston's next release, 1986's THIRD STAGE.
