One of the best things about going to the seaside is the smell of donuts. Forget the ice-creams, candy floss, hot dogs, burgers and fish and chips. If I smell donuts I follow the aroma.
The year before last, I had a special offer leaflet posted through my door from Marshall Ward catalogue. I don?t bother with catalogues now as there are so many good internet sites, offering goods at such competitive and reduced prices, I don?t feel the need for mail order catalogues any more.
In the leaflet was an electric donut maker listed at £20.00. I had never seen one of these before and had only ever attempted to make donuts in a deep fat frier on one occasion. They were lovely, but as the years had gone on, the deep fat frier had given up the ghost and we never replaced it as we were into our ?healthy eating? phase by then.

Vitakraft hamster donuts are a lovely little treat for your little friend.
Although they are called donuts they dont look like donuts to me, the only resemblence to a donut is that they have a hole in the middle, they look more like little fairy cakes very similar looking to what we would eat except these have peas in them.
These are intended as a treat and advertised as a treat inbetween meals, i give these a lot more sparingly than that though, i only alow one each week as they contain quite a lot of sugar and glucose syrup so are not realy that healthy for your little friend so bear this in mind when giving them to him.
The donut it self is not too hard and quite squidgy to the touch but the peas are hard as they hae been dryed, my hamster loves these but 1 does last him all day so it is a nice long treat for him, he also ...

The Snoozzzeee Cat Donut is a great favourite with my cats. It is a round squashy cushion bed ? raised at the sides to protect from drafts. I have bought all manner of beds and baskets for my cats at various times and usually found that they were totally ignored. The radiator bed has remained mainly unused ? but the Donut seems to appeal to all of them.
In fact, I have five Donuts and every one has been well used. Of course, I have six cats ? but there were only four when I bought the beds. In fact I had kept two as ?spares? for when the others needed washing but when I took in two cats at short notice they were put out for them to use. The two newcomers had previously not been used to having their own beds but both took to the Donuts as if they had always had them. They have been with me for over a year now and still ...
