I bought the album Dookie after a friend recommended Greenday to me. I chose to buy Dookie first as it had "Basket Case" on it, the only on of their songs I had heard. At first I didn't really like most of the songs, only "She" and "When I Come Around" stood out. But after a few weeks of not bothering to get up and change the CD while playing on the Playstation, it began to grow on me. I usually listen to the whole album, let it play through. There are no bad songs which I find myself skipping, which is what usually happens. If you like indie music, there is a good chance you will enjoy this album.
Also, if you like this, I would recommend 'The Colour and the Shape' by Foo Fighters
