Still my fave green day album even although their newer stuff is amazing also. So much energy in this record, every song is catchy, power punk. Mike Dirnt's bass lines are what make these songs so catchy and as a bass player I love this album, for playing along with. I bought this when it first came out but it still sounds fresh today, just as good as any of the newer/younger punk bands around. There are no ballad-y type songs on this album, the most popular track is basket case which was green days first chart topping hit in the UK. Other highlights on this are She, Welcome to Paradise and When I Come Around. After buying the greatest hits album for Green Day, I am now certain the best tracks came from this CD.
