The one thing that stands out above the rest of the Doors' cd's is that this is the one you must have in your collection. From the moment the first track starts it feels like you actually could be in the concert, In my opinion there is nothing better than Jim Morrison singing live in all his rustic blues sounds and this double cd album captures all of that. The Celebration of the lizard tucked away in the middle of the first cd is a taste of the pure genius of the Doors' ,While the band are playing the tunes to "Break on through" Jim is changing the words to the song into his own. Dead cats dead rats rings out to the tune and theres nothing the band can do about this five minute imprivisation! There is five songs like this on the album that you will not get with the other cd's and it shows just why there was some ill feeling in the band towards the end. The first cd has all the classics on ; Five to one, Alabama song, When the musics over, Soul kitchen and Backdoor man to name a few but the main thing about it is the way it has been taken from different concerts and made seemless in its listening. The second cd is much more chilled out but in its own way just as good, we start off with Roadhouse blues and to finish off we have The end which is a whopping 16 minutes long! in its full version it is a masterpiece of music. This compact disc is a compilation of The Doors at their best live, it is so much better than studio made albums and is a must buy for any fan.

As an overview i would recommend this cd to all music fans, ecspecially Doors fans it is an absolute must . There is a couple of duds on the cd as there always is but it is mainly superb, Light my fire in my opinion is a horrible ten minutes long. Considering thats the only one the radio stations play, i think it is played to death!
Sometime after midnight Saturday, July 3, 1971 Jim Morrison was found by Pam dead in the bathtub in France. There has been many theories to how he died, heroin being one of them. i myself dont believe that, i believe he took his own life............
