...the last three years. This was in short words my story from the last years. Today I want to write a review about Kenyan music. Kenyan music? Even if my love to my Ex wife is gone, the love to this nice country and the music is still there. General information +++++++++++++++++ The Safari Sound Band consists of 7 Kenyans, who plays together for modern 20 years. At the begins there just made music in the hotels from Mombasa but later there got famous even in Europe and this people give shows also in Germany. This CD is from 1996 and I bought it in the Ghettos of Nairobi for around one Euro. Is that way for you to far and dangerous you can buy it also in Internet. You just look in google und you get very much informations about the Safari Sound Band. I think the cover is a good job from this people, because up is in blue writing... Read review

Advantages: A good collection of a past age's jingles.
Disadvantages: Not an artefact to listen to in one sitting...

...The Mike Sammes Singers, for a variety of products, from TUC biscuits to International Harvester tractors. Destined for the rubbish skip prior to Jonny's nifty rescue mission, most are around 25 to 35 seconds long but many are much longer (up to almost 3 mins) while some are as short as only 6 secs (ie, the Sunblest one). In addition, there is the soundtrack to a short movie included called "Youth" (rather jolly in a non-groovy 60's way, imo) and seven, (yes SEVEN!) 'hidden' tracks at the end. What of the music itself? Apart from the already mentioned brevity of the tracks, the music itself is what I would descibe as top-quality "easy listening". Now, I'm no fan of most easy listening but what makes these acceptable IS their sheer brevity. They do their bit, dwell before your ears and are then gone, just like the ads they were once... Advantages: all the classics - powerful stuff

...Anyone who has heard the opening bars of Sharpes theme music and felt the stirrings of power and passion that it brings to the room has to buy this cd! I own the boxset of the series so this cd is the perfect compliment. I received the cd as a gift and did not even know it existed until then. The cd features songs from the ITV series 'Sharpe' which tells the stoies of Sean Bean as Major Sharpe (his rank alters throughout the series though) leading his riflemen though glorious battles and many storylines. His main friend is sergeant Harper, and the othermain characters in the group we get to know are rilfleman Harris and of course rifleman Hagman who sings his uplifting songs as they march onward to another adventure. These are the songs that feature on the cd plus more besides. There is the classic Sharpe's theme to start here... Read review
