...Stuart liddell has to be one of the best pipers in the world today. Stuart plays with the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, which has won two world titles, he has performed with the band in concerts at the Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House, both of which have been placed on the CD. He is a phenomenal player and a great guy, and i had the pleasure of meeting him. The CD has won several awards in the piping scene as well as best "Solo Piping CD 2007" (Pipes and Drums Magazine). Very little pipers in the world has the accuracy, and the musicality of Stuart, and this comes through brilliantly on 'Inveroran'." A little break down of the tracks; The Centenary Jewel - A nice set of 2/4 marches to break into the cd and to start to realize how good this man really is. Advantages: Good mixture of traditional, solo, and modern music.
Disadvantages: 1st volume is slightly better

...As well as owning this cd, i have also seen some of the tracks live in concert. Anyone who knows about pipe bands will without a doubt know that the Simon Fraser Uni are one of the best pipe bands in the world and have won the world championships to prove this. This cd being the second volume i feel just doesn't quite reach the quality as the first volume, however it is still worth buying. The first track is the hornpipe, 'The streaker' and once you hear this you know straight away that it is Simon Fraser you are listening to, with huge chanter sound and the American style of the tune. It is a longer length version than the one they opened their medley at the world championships with. ...What can one say about Crowded House? KIWIS RULE!!!! Since the break up of Split Enz and the brothers short list of solo acts, they formed the band Crowded House, (which Tim Finn is not a member of, but has sung quite a few songs with them). Many songs to choose from: It’s only natural Mean to me Don’t dream it’s over Weather with you World where you live Fall at your feet Locked out The list just keeps on going…. Crowded House played their last concert at the Sydney Opera House, so I don’t think there will be any more releases from them, but you’ve got to get… yet another ‘The Best of….’ Album!...
