Advantages: A musicians album Disadvantages: side two except the ballads
...that this band are looking a pushing their musical abilities to the limit. The brilliant Cursed Diamond is suddenly followed by the quiet, reflective Nonfiction, the sunlight Mr Robinson is singing about, you can almost feel coming through your window hearing this.
Boys will be boys, so She Gave Good Sunflower is next, a standard Crowes rave-up, which by being so means it puts anything by the opposition into the shade. More please!
BUT!!! Side two cannot keep up. P25 London, interesting to start with, ends up in a mess,
Downtown Money Waster and Tied Up And Swallowed (the supposed "bonus" track) are surely just space fillers.
The ballads save side two. Ballad In Urgency leads into the wonderful Wiser Time, all slide guitar, reflective lyrics and time signatures. A does Descending, featuring Mr Edward Hirsch on piano. "I...

Advantages: Has some good songs in it and has large and lavish sets. Disadvantages: An odd movie, hard to get a grasp on and by many accounts too imaganitive.
...I will make this breif, The 5000 fingers of Dr. t is a kids film made in the 1950 by Dr. Suess [the same person who made the cat in th hat book collection and said such wise things as, "It is better to be three hours early than one minute too late."] However, when he woke up one morning and decided to make this movie somthing went wrong. From here the plot deviates and goes down some pherhaps unsuitable paths i.e. the idea that Dr. T will marry his mother [a widow] and due to this be imprisioned for ever in his evil palace. Another black mark...

Cat Stevens' "The First Cut is the Deepest" has been covered by so many people over the years I can no longer recall the original. Unfortunately, Sheryl Crow's version makes me wish I could, as it's a really insipid pop ballad, proving that some songs are best left alone. It adds nothing to either the song, or Crow's reputation.
Apart from a strange almost tribal drum beat in the background, "Everyday is a Winding Road" is back to what Sheryl Crow does best. It's a harmless, mid-tempo pop-country song with a chorus that hooks...
