Dragons Of The North - Einherjer

Advantages: great catchy tunes
Disadvantages: couple of interludes cut down number of tracks

...Hmmm, Sisqo. The diminutive (and adorable!!!)singing star has just vanished off the planet (although I've been told by misssixty that he is apparently now seeing the gianormous Samantha Mumba - isn't she about twice the size of him???) but a couple of years ago, after gaining fame over here after the release of "The Thong Song", he was pretty big. Obviously, I'm talking metaphorically big, rather than in a literal sense. (Sorry Sisqo, I'll stop slagging you for being small now!) I didn't own "Unleash The Dragon", the album which gave birth to the ode to girly underwear, but when his second album "Return of Dragon" was released, I decided I definitely needed to buy that. Advantages: Some strong R&B tracks
Disadvantages: A few poor Pop tracks

..."Return Of Dragon" is the second solo album release from Dru Hill's former frontman, Sisqó. The R&B singer returns for another album following the massive success of "Unleash The Dragon", although it didn't do as well (selling 4 million copies less), it still managed to be a Certified Platinum record and broke into the US top ten. 1. "Intro" 2. "Not Afraid" This is a big way to kick off the album as you hear an empowering track which has him "Unleash The Dragon" upon you as he displays that his ready to come with some great vocals for the album. I think that it was a good way to establish that he wasn't going to come with a mutitude of "Thong Song" revisits for this album. Advantages: The voice of an Angel ; Title track being one of the best folk rock songs
Disadvantages: Some weak tracks ; Not on the same par as Fairport Convention or Fotheringay

...short lived, she produced some very fine material and the three albums she did with them including 'Unhalfbricking' and of course 'Liege and Leif' were phenomenal. Before the release of Liege and Leif she left to form her own band 'Fotheringay'. After one album Sandy Denny decided to embark on a bold voyage of discovery as a solo artist. 'North star grassman and the ravens' was astonishingly superb as a debut performance as far as Sandy's voice input was concerned. Although she went on to produce a fine backlog of solo albums I feel as if she worked much better within the confound of The Fairport Convention, who had a number of fine talents to co-work with Sandy's. North star grassman and the ravens was a stunning accomplishment what with her stunning, angelic alto voice. The title track remains the best out of the bunch for me although... Read review
