Advantages: Some of their best stuff, completist value Disadvantages: The live tracks are a bit of a let down
...annoying over several tracks. Thankfully all these tendencies are absent here, for the most part you get just the songs with the occasional announcement and a brief rant about the ‘f***ing ar****les in the press’ before ‘Propaganda’.
So overall, I found this a pretty impressive CD. Without the live material, it would’ve been too short for an album, but together it makes a decent collection for any Sepultura fan. I got the 2CD ‘Roots of Sepultura' edition of ‘Roots’, which had a bonus disc of rare material - mostly early demos - and I think this disc (that is ‘Blood-Rooted’) is probably of superior rarity value, and certainly a better listen.
If you don’t have ‘Roots’ yet, buy that first. If you like that, and want to try more of Sepultura, then I’d...

Advantages: Wonderful tracks like GET AWAY FROM THE DOOR that explain life of THE STRUGGLE Disadvantages: Awful tracks like I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU that I struggled to listen to
..., these instrumentals were made to represent the feel of the grimy streets, based on my listening experience. This is Calogero's creative beat-making for Great World Entertainment, that starts the musical story of 'THE STRUGGLE' on a positive, note.
Cappadonna spits three dope verses on Cap is back, each equipped with advanced rhyme schemes and nice wordplay. He simultaneously combines emotion, entertaining delivery, knowledge, maturity and passion over a nice piece of production. However my favourite bars are represented by the beginning of Cappadonna's first verse that runs on superb rhyme schemes:
[Cappadonna - 1st verse]
I don't have to tell y'all ni**az how it is in Da Struggle
Police chasin' me down, ni**az start to bubble
Cracks and Blood ni**az in the huddle
It's rainin' cats and dogs, and kids in the puddles...

Advantages: Excellent remixes plus new tracks. Flows well. Disadvantages: Some new tracks are samey.

I have reviewed several but not all the tracks here, just to give a general idea of the album.
THE TRACKS
Kicking off the preceedings is the title track itself: "Blood on the Dancefloor". Instantly setting the pace with a strong beat and some great sounds, the track seems to lull into low-tone verses with an almost sinister feel, inkeeping with the lyrics of the track. The words are very pronounced in...
