Dreamland - Black Box

Advantages: Excellent music to listen to, good remixes as well as original version
Disadvantages: Some of tracks same as on previous Black Box CD

...I first heard Black Box in 1989 as a ten year old girl when they released their classic 'Ride on Time'. I bought that single, and another one they released called 'Fantasy' in 1990. They were the only two songs from Black Box that I'd heard of, until 2001 when a friend was having a clearout and gave me her old Black Box album 'Dreamland'. After listening to that cd every day for several weeks I decided to buy the 'Hit and Mixes' cd too. About the band...... Black Box was an italian house band in the late 1980s and early 1990s, who produced dance music. The main trio behind Black Box was Daniele Davoli, a club DJ, Mirko Limoni, an electric music producer and Valerio Semplici, who was a classicly trained clarinetist. Advantages: Calming and enjoyable

...Robert Miles is known best for his huge hit single ‘Children’ although Fable was another top5 hit for him in the UK charts. Dreamland the album features both hit singles with another 6 tunes you will have not heard before on the UK Chart. Children was inspired through a horrific insight into young clubbers being killed on the roads of Ibiza. Robert had heard on the radio of horrific scenes where young loved up clubbers would drive back to their hotel after a long night clubbing, drinking and taking drugs though they’d never make it back. We are all aware of the affects that the mix of alcohol and drugs gives us. However young clubbers out in Ibiza wouldn’t think twice when they are high in amazement. ...This is a really great collectors piece consisting of 5 cds , a video tape , booklet & a mini comic book in a keepsake box . The cds in this box set are as follows INITIUM UNHOLY PASSION NOVEMBER COMING FIRE FINAL DESCENT LIVE 85 86 ONE mini comic book depicting what can only be described as a fantasy of a Glenn Danzig dream . the comic book is interesting and is in black & white . The book that comes with this box set contains photos as well as the lyrics to Initium and November Coming Fire . Still , you do not get the lyrics to Unholy Passion for some strange reason . The video is really great to watch as the band does 2 shows live . The footage was unreleased until this box set became available . I myself own this box set & i can tell you that i really enjoy it & it remains in my private... Read review
