Advantages: Feel-good punk-ska music Disadvantages: Not easy to get hold of
Not many bands can boast collaborations with the likes of Green Day and Reel Big Fish on their debut album. However, American-fronted Surrey ska band Fandangle can.
The new album, FlyAway, was recorded in Zebrahead's LA recording studio, featuring collaborations with Reel Big Fish frontman Aaron Barrett and Green Day's Jason Freese.
It features songs such as "I'm High", the band's live favourite "Cheap Escape", "Oliver Twist" and "Laws of Gravity", and is the perfect "windows down" soundtrack for summer 2008. It is highly recommended to fans of Reel Big Fish, Spunge and Less Than Jake, who will note the band's influences on the music, but also see that they have developed their own unique style.
With the exterior artwork designed by the two guitarists, and the interior drawings provided by drummer Jack Usher, it's clear to see ...
Advantages: Happy, feel-good tunes Disadvantages: Fandangle aren't as big as they deserve to be!
I bought this album from one of Fandangle's gigs after seeing them twice and enjoying their exciting and lively shows and I have to say I was very impressed. For such a small band (in terms of exposure anyway!!) they certainly have the production values of some of the more mainstream bands out there whilst still retaining an almost live feel. Their sound is very much influenced by the likes of Reel Big Fish and [spunge], each song is as memorable as the last with a great upbeat, "beachy" atmosphere.
In short FlyAway an album I can see myself listening to for a long time to come (even if it is just a vain attempt to make the winter months feel a little sunnier!) Personal 'stand-out' tracks for me are "I'm High", "Cheap Escape" and "Pornstars (Aren't for Everyone" and are definitely worth a listen on the band's Myspace. ...
Advantages: fun and easy to make appealing to adults and kids Disadvantages: waiting for them to be cooked!
Some of you may know that I enjoy cooking, and since Easter is coming up I thought I would share with you some cakes I enjoy making.
****** FlyAways ******
At school we had to take a cake dish and make it our own, so I played around with Chocolate Butterfly cakes (As there easy to make and yummy to eat). I came up with some great idea's which I hope you all will enjoy. And it's easy for kids too. This is one of my favourite cake dish's to make, and one I make at least once a month they are very appealing to adults if your anything like me, and I haven't found a kid that doesn't like them yet!
As with any cooking please be aware of all the ingredients you're using and be cautious that you and the people trying them are not allergic to any of the ingredients used.
First of all I will go over the basic way to bake chocolate ...

Album Reviews
Rolling Stone (8/8/96, pp.58-60) - 4 Stars - Excellent - "...reconfirms endorsements of Linda Thompson as one of rock's premier women vocalists and interpreters....[she] sings spectacular music with a muscular delivery and intensity of timbre that imbues every syllable with embarrassing honesty and clarity." Q (9/96, p.134) - 4 Stars - Excellent - "...one of the great voices of British folk-rock....there are rare `live' performances, unreleased songs and many of the well-known titles appear in previously unreleased versions....a fitting tribute to what has been achieved to date." Entertainment Weekly (8/16/96, p.63) - "...This career wrap-up set of favorites and rarities, both with and without her ex, is a bummer--but a rich, moving one." - Rating: A
