Firstly this review is not about the phone I purchased. Having had a Pay-as-you-go phone for many years, I finally decided to bite the bullet and take out a pay monthly contract. After looking round the various high street and on-line retailers I went with Mobiles.co.uk, since I'd had a good experience using their services earlier this year when purchasing a phone for my wife. They offer a next day delivery service if the order is placed before 4pm, although this applies only to mainland UK and since I live across the pond in Northern Ireland I expected to receive it by Wednesday or Thursday having placed the order on a Sunday night. MOBIL 1is a fully synthetic motor oil. Acconding to Wilkpedia, this is :- "Oil consisting of chemical compounds which were not originally present in crude oil (petroleum) but were artificially made (synthesized) from other compounds. Synthetic oil could be made to be a substitute for petroleum or specially made to be a substitute for a lubricant oil such as conventional (or mineral) motor oil refined from petroleum. When a synthetic oil or synthetic fuel is made as a substitute for petroleum, it is generally produced because of a shortage of petroleum or because petroleum is too expensive. When synthetic oil is made as a substitute for lubricant refined from petroleum, it is generally to provide superior mechanical and chemical properties than those found in traditional mineral oils." Review of Mobil 1 5W/30 Motor Oil

mobiles.co.uk - no support or customer service

Advantages: Get a mobiles phone next day with a free gift
Disadvantages: up to hour wait to get through to their support, then 25 mins in queue

I have been with O2 for years and decided to take a contract through mobiles.co.uk due to the great offers with orange and the amazing free gifts. The phone I ordered came as stated, the next day. After 3 days there was a fault with the phone. I called their returns line only to keep getting cut off due to their not being any lines available. When I finally got through after 40 minutes, it took 23 minutes of hold time in their queue. I was told there was only one gentleman on the returns line. They advised me to pack up and send back, including sim and gift. This was an issue for me as I had ported my number over from o2 as I'd had it for years and wanted to keep it. I was told I couldn't - which i later found out I could have ported my number to a pay as you go and then transfer it back to my new phone once I ordered it. I ...
