Additional notes
Album Notes: THE DRUM AND BASS COLLECTION contains remixes of Art Of Noise songs by DocScott (Metalheadz), Dom and Roland, ILS, Lightfoot, PFM, Seiji, J. Majik, Digital Pariah, Lemon D, Flyright and Aquasky. 15 years after Anne Dudley and J.J. Jeczalik started the Art of Noise and seven years after this compilation's spiritual ancestor THE AMBIENT COLLECTION, 1997's THE DRUM AND BASS COLLECTION appeared. The disc serves to demonstrate how influential Dudley and Jeczalik's trademark montages of repeated themes and motifs, sound effects, and hip-hop-derived beats were to yet another generation of dance music pioneers. The collection's 11 remixes by such drum and bass notables as DocScott, Dom and Roland, ILS, Lightfoot, PFM, Seiji, J. Majik, Digital Pariah, Lemon D, Flyright and Aquasky tend to respect the structural integrity of the originals more than Alex Paterson and Youth's ambient experiments on THE AMBIENT COLLECTION. This is largely due to the fact that, with rare exceptions, the Art of Noise have always been primarily interested in creating insistent rhythms from unusual and exotic sources. Most of the endlessly fascinating DRUM AND BASS COLLECTION further refines this position.
Album Reviews: Entertainment Weekly (1/17/97, p.64) - "...Sometimes these reinterpretations render the original sources unrecognizable, but wasn't that what Art Of Noise's mission in the first place..." - Rating: B+
Advantages: good music, various artists, good value for money, enjoyable Disadvantages: not for absolutely everyone
...I have had Dj Hypes drum and bass arena album since around christmas last year, and i am still not bored of it.
It has a lot of different artists on it, with a range of different types of drum and bass.
I love to listen to this album when driving, tidying the house, or just doing nothing. it is a really good back round album when i have friends round too, as everyone enjoys the music it has on it.
I also love to dance to the songs on this album, but i do not let many people see me doing that !!!
I would really reccomend this album to anyone, it could suit many peoples music taste.
It is also pretty good value for money, seeing as there are so many artists on it....

...far. The only downside is I think the browser doesn't support javascript? I have trouble loading YouTube videos and flash. The best thing about the internet connection is the constant Facebook and Twitter updates on my homescreen!
Games - Not something I use very often but I will try my best to comment. I think my phone came with a game or two included for free, possibly a guitar hero game? You can use the touchscreen or the keypad to play games. You can download games for free from the Ovi Store or pay for better quality ones such as Sonic etc.
Applications & Ovi Store - There's a good collection of applications available for the N97, most of which are free! Just sign onto the Ovi Store and see what you can find. I mainly use the 'Fring' application which allows you to connect to MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger etc on your...
