Advantages: big budget, big stars, big effects Disadvantages: critics panned it
I heard so much bad press about this film that I put off seeing it until it came out on video. Boy do I feel like an idiot for not seeing it sooner and at the cinema! At home, the movie looks good - I can't even imagine seeing how much better it must have been on the big screen. If you like science fiction like Planet of the Apes and The Postman (another Costner film), then you'll love this one.
This movie has plenty going for it - a decent story, a good cast with great performances, challenging movie-making, and most importantly: it challenges your mind and makes you think "what if". Just nearly a very good film.
It is at times visually stunning and Kevin Costner as 'Mariner' is the classic hero. The earth is overed by Water and a mythical 'Dryland' is talked of much like we regard something like Atlantis. Costner stumbles ...

Advantages: Best album ever Disadvantages: his dead
Nevermind is by far Nirvanas best album it includes classics like Smells like teen spirit, Polly, Something in the way and Come as you are. Nirvana totally changed the history of rock music, not only did they breed a new type of music they all so made the world of rock freeze when Kurt Donald Cobain commited suicide.
Althuogh KC may be dead his music still has to be some of the best.
i would buy this album if you were into grunge and slow rock but if you is in to fast groups then this may not be the album for you.
