Advantages: Fantastic bassline. Original sounds. Good chioce of tracks. Disadvantages: It's music designed for sound systems. Sound quality suffers.
taken from the 1970s and compiled under the ?Ocho? label. The album is over an hour and four minutes long.
Cassava Piece is the first and arguably the best track. It is from the ?Original Rockers? album and is the best introduction for any listener wondering what is to come. The second track ?Baby I Love You So? carries on from the first with the same addictive rhythm but with the voice of Jacob Miller on top singing the song from his 1992 album ?Who Say Jah No Dread?, a great album itself. The third track ?555 Crown Street? is as promised, weighed down with bass and followed by an alternate dub track by KingTubby who engineered the album. If you haven?t heard any August Pablo material before, you?ll probably notice the melodica sounds before long. Its ghostly original tone could not be a better compliment to the sounds that those who are ...
Advantages: Holler, they wrote the songs Disadvantages: Didn't like the R&B sound, not as good as their pop music
Viva Forever
I am quite a Spice Girls fan, I think there music is fun, unoffensive, girly and you can sing along to it. However, their album Forever was not really one of my favourites and I have to say that I don't really like any of the tracks on the album. Forever was the third album released by the Spice Girls and I think it came at a time when they were trying to do something different but also when they were losing their appeal. They also tried something new by releasing more of an R&B sound and for a group who have made their name by releasing cheesy pop dance songs this was always going to be a gamble and in my opinion one that really didn't work.
The fab five (or sometime four with Geri) are the most successful girl band in history. They have sold 60 million records worldwide with only four albums and twelve singles, making ...
Advantages: Fairly cheap easy read for teenagers Disadvantages: Often explicit and I don't think it promotes safer sex
. The book does contain quite a few sex scenes, that are fine in context.
Of course, the story is set in the USA which also makes it difficult to identify with in some respects.
I do like some of the characters even if I don't like the 2 main ones. I like Katherine's Grandma and her friend. We don't know too much about Michael or his family really, which is a shame.
"Forever" isn't a bad book, but then, it's not very good either. However, It's almost 30 years since it was first printed and I read it in the 1980s and it's still very popular so Judy Blume must have done something right! ...
