Album Notes: This two-disc set compiles a trio of albums the groundbreaking Jamaican producer made in the mid-'70s, during what was arguably his most creatively fertile period. Perry's production, the blueprint of the dub sound, favors rubbery bottom ends and a sonic arsenal of over-the-top ricochets, pings, and saturated psychedelic effects. While DUBSTRUMENTALS may not be the best place for the Scratch initiate to start, it's standard listening for hardcore fans.
