Dystopia - Midnight Juggernauts

Advantages: Tight, Old School Lyrics, Memorable Beats, Social Consciousness and Intellect, Groundbreaking Classic
Disadvantages: Not everybody's cup of Tea

...With all of the insane talk about Tribe Called Quest reuniting once again, its great to hear. After years apart and a lack of solo success by its members, its good to hear that the trio is back together. So in celebration like Madtheory, i will review what is known to be their greatest hit album yet: Midnight Marauders. This is one of my most long awaited reviews, since ive planned to do it for months but never got around to it. I think its appropriate now. Many fans cant seem to decide as to whether Low End Theory or Midnight Marauders is the better album by the Tribe Called Quest. In what came as a surprise to me, Madtheory placed these two albums as the #1 and #2 greatest albums of all-time, which are very respectable, if surprising, choices. The two albums are indeed excellent, but which is better? Maybe we'll find out at the end... Read review

Advantages: Deep, meaningful content and an enjoyable, distinctive sound in some tracks...
Disadvantages: ...some of the changes are quite drastic and there's a tendency towards soppy behaviour.

...Minutes to Midnight is a step away from traditional nu-metal beginnings for Linkin Park, signifying a change in direction and a shift in position, allowing for a political voice to assist them with their move to the next level in tangibility. Advantages: It makes you appreciate the old Linkin Park
Disadvantages: The old Linkin Park is gone

...It was on a gloomy Sunday evening at a private party where I first heard Linkin Park's new album. I won't waste your time as Minutes to Midnight did mine. I hope this opening paragraph sums up my thoughts nicely - Half way through, I stood up from the poker table and yanked the disc out of the player before sitting back down listening to a free Sunday Mirror CD. It was the first thing I could get my hands to, The Very Best Christmas Hits. I assume you realise it was 27 May. Let me make this clear, I don't like bands who drift between genres. It reeks of selling out, moving from what was popular to what is. A band like Linkin Park attracted a loyal fan-base by experimenting aside from the norm and sticking to what they believed was good music.
