Hailing from Norway, this album was one of the biggest surprises of 2007 for me. To describe the sort of music on display here is very difficult, the only comparison would be Arcturus's masterpiece La Masquerade Infernale. La Masquerade Infernale was a groundbreaking release in the Avantgarde Experimental Metal genre, displaying Garm's (ex-Arcturus, now Ulver) theatrical vocals, amazing drumming from Hellhammer, excellent guitar work and experimental ... ...struggled for ages to find a band that is even remotely similar to Arcturus, and I believe I have found the perfect substitute in Vulture Industries. After all Arcturus have split, there is a definite niche in the market for other bands to take the reigns. So far only Vulture Industries have been this brave, and have released one of the best debuts in recent times I have ever heard.
