Early One Morning [Digipak] - Mushroom

Advantages: An absorbing collection of themed acoustic-led pop songs
Disadvantages: Not for those who want an 'immediate fix' - it's a slow-burner

...of drawing you in to the point where you put it on 'repeat' straight away…. I absolutely love it. It's certainly not radio-friendly as it wouldn't fit in with most programmes' playlists - at 6.10 long it would give the presenter a chance to go to the toilet, I expect - but that's their loss. 10. Under A Canopy This song is effectively the emotional calm after the storm featured in "At Constant Speed" - a relatively short instrumental piece with guitars and keyboards that takes the listener back to square one - i.e. Gemma's early (pre-"Night On My Side") work. Like "January 14th", it has the feel of one of the 'hidden tracks' on her debut album. ~~~~ Inlay ~~~~ Given that it's almost a home-spun effort, it comes as no surprise to find that "The Hollow Of Morning" is presented in a digipak format. Advantages: One of the best Nu Metal albums that has ever been released.
Disadvantages: It is imperfect, there was definitely room for improvement.

...of the Nu Metal rubbish that was extremely popular back in the early 2000s. I would definitely recommend this, it's not the best album in the world but it's certainly not one of the worst. The digipak edition of this album comes complete with a cardboard case rather than a standard plastic CD casing. I personally am a huge fan of digipak editions of albums and therefore tend to buy them whenever possible. There's something greatly appealing to me about the cardboard digipak casing of this 'Slipknot' album, for most however it's probably just as good to own a copy in the standard case. It really makes little difference, the tracks are all the same so the difference here is purely aesthetic. Advantages: Great production, awe inspiring agressive/clean singing with TRUE feeling, modern, fresh

My Shadow * = Bonus Tracks exclusive to this package This new direction that the band have opened up on 'Revolver' has been followed with the album 'The Dead Eye', this one progresses the style further and further still, unfortunately that meant less of the thrashing, they have managed to retain their undeniable heaviness however! Onto the mindblowing artwork, and boy are you in for a treat with the Special Edition. The artwork was produced by Frode Sylthe (Friktion) and is very simplistic, yet striking. The use and mixture of red, white and black make the digipak really stand out. The imagery is very aggressive with (Not real) mutilated corpses, blood, Knuckledusters, maces and other aggresive weapons and scenes etc. This alternative is entirely different from the artwork provided to the standard edition with its...
