One of the best soundtracks in recent times
Review of Billy Elliot [ECD] - Original Soundtrack by  Saintly

Advantages: Great music
Disadvantages: The Stephen Gately song

...After seeing the film I had to get a copy of the soundtrack, and how happy I am that I did. It's full of classic tracks by artists such as T-Rex (Cosmic Dancer, Get It On, Ride A White Swan, Children Of The Revolution, I Love To Boogie), The Jam (Town Called Malice), The Clash (London Calling) and The Style Council (Shout To The Top, Walls Come Tumbling Down). If you're into 70's and 80's rock then you are sure to love this soundtrack as much as the film. The only disappointing track on the album is the Stephen Gately song I Believe, which is rather weak but Boyzone fans are sure to like it. The soundtrack also includes dialogue of key moments in the film, including Billy's first try at ballet and his interview at the Royal Ballet School. For those who can get a copy of the special edition version of the soundtrack, there is a CD ROM... Read review

ROCK with Captain Rock
Review of To the Future Shock - Captain Rock by  in2deep

Advantages: awesome blend of hip-hop electro
Disadvantages: N/A

...Calling Captain Rock Captain Rock born Ronald Wayne Greene is one of the great showmen of Hip Hop, and is happy on stage as he is in the studio. Before being Captain Rock he was Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde's live DJ from their period in the Harlem World Crew where he was known as DJ Ronnie Green. Creating his own crew known as "The Cosmic Crew" but The Cosmic Crew didn't exist longer than the time it took to make the record "Cosmic Blast". Since they all went on to lucrative careers of their own, and these were The Aleems, Dr Jeckyll & Mr Hyde, Scratch Al-D and Marley Marl. Captain Rock surely rocked the house with his live performance on UK Fresh 86 where he allegedly stripped down to his thong on stage. Captain Rock's musical character is a boy from out of space from planet Zone who lands on earth to teach us to rock. He... Read review

Satch - Engines of creation.
Review of Joe Satriani - Guitars by  FVELLA

Advantages: Guitar Wizard
Disadvantages: None

...Joe Satriani - also known as SATCH. Joe Satriani was born in Westbury, New York, and began playing guitar at age 14. Joe has 10 CD's so far (not counting the bootlegs). He started off with 'Not of this Earth' and his latest work is 'Engines of creation'. I rate this guitarist very highly. I had the pleasure of watching him at a Concert in London some years ago. It was around the time he was about to release the extremist. Anyway this guitar hero can really hammer out amazing riffs. He does some really weird sounds (not sure how), he seems to be tapping the frets. His albums collections are very varied ranging from Blues, rock and love songs. My favourite is when Joe Satriani teamed up with Eric Johnson and Steve Vai in G3 Live. What guitar work. His latest CD Engines of Creation has a track "Until We Say Goodbye" which has been...
