Advantages: Another great CD from Libera Disadvantages: One or two weaker tracks
This CD is another good CD by Libera, and in my opinion this one is the best. It is definitely the best one that I have heard. I recently purchased this CD at about £10 or £11 from amazon.co.uk and have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the CD.
The CD contains 13 great tracks. These include the amazing tracks like:
Locus Iste (based on Pachelbels Canon and contains the amazing Sanctus sung by them)
Prayer
Wings of a Dove (not the traditional version ... ...the Lost (based on the poem about Flanders Fields)
Sing for Ever
Abide with Me (a stunning version of this well known and well loved hmyn)
Also there are other good tracks like:
Sempiterna
Always with you
Ave Maria
Something sings
These tracks being really good also are just slightly less good than those ones mentioned above.
And then there are the tracks:
Libera
Recordare
which are just again slightly worse and would be the weak tracks ...

The Fountain is a phenomenal film and to accompany or even to aid it in being in such good stead, it has a brilliant soundtrack to go along with it.
Along with “Mogwai”, who are already established as creators of ‘alternate’ sounding music, they help to create the many wondrous sounds and background music that play throughout the movie.
As each song on the album list plays, it corresponds to the position it is played in the film; to start-off with ... ...rainforest which the opening track captures as best it could, rising the mood in the many to come in the rest of the CD. The rest of the tracks range from sombre, sad, deep, dark and unique blends of sounds the best of which are constructed using the sound of the violin.
In the CD/Film finale the track leads the listener through with a chime of melodies which gradually increase in tempo before exploding into an emotion-inducing burst of energetic ...
Advantages: All in one place Disadvantages: Why bother!
Yes they were superb. In their day they were original. There may even be a new audience out there waiting to discover them, but after 90 years or whatever of the Shadows is there really any need for another hits album. Yes all the hits are there, the good, the bad, the mediocre and the truly inspired works of genius,( Apache, Wonderfulland, Foottapper) Also, the never to be forgotten, Rise and Fall of Flingel Bunt (actually I can't really remember ... ...less well known stuff to stretch the offering to 2 CD's and the musicianship is as always flawless. However I can't help feeling it would have been better to remarket previous hits albums, using the money saved on better promotion. Maybe I'm getting old but it all seems so pointless. ...
