SATCH! Where it all started!!
Advantages: Amazingly good and different for the era guitar playing Disadvantages: no vocals, hard to relate to for non musicians
...Track List
1. Surfing With The Alien- 4:25- This iconic opening track features wah-wah riffs far removed from anything else of its time and a almost legendary pull of solo, The Riff of this track makes it one of the most memorable songs on the album as well as one of the most technically brilliant
2. Ice-9 -3.59- This song is an example of how joe can build complex and beatiful melody lines out of otherwise simple chord patterns, This song gives ... ...up to solos. instead of diving right in there! as many do these days!
3. Crushing Day - 5:14- My favourite song on the album, This song is satriani at his best, a memorable melody line and a strong prominent chord sequence, this song builds up magnificently into one of my favourite solo sections, shows great use of the whammy bar skills and legato sections which he is famous for, a must try for any guitarist.
4. Always With Me, Always With You- ...

Holy Moly!
Advantages: Ethereal Guitar; Experimentation With Genres; He Tries Singing Disadvantages: He Tries Singing
...that holy day. Flying In A Blue Dream has a whopping 18 tracks on it, and runs well over an hour of playing time. I sat in my bedroom and listened to it straight through twice. The first time I think my mouth hung open the whole time. The second time it only hung open part-way through it. There is some incredible guitar-playing contained in this album...but that's true for all of Joe Satriani's releases. It's what he does. In the second track, "The ... ...a lot of ground with Flying in a Blue Dream. He tries out vocals, different styles and different instruments, as well as including several tracks of his signature power-guitar-playing. It's also a more produced album than Surfing With the Alien. It incorporates more filling in each song than just the basic guitar/bass/drums of Surfing... and correspondingly, sounds more full in the ear. Just like a microbrewed Stout or Porter has more "mouthfeel" ...

Enya's debut album
Advantages: Soothing compositions. Early taste of Enya's talent Disadvantages: Now sounding slightly dated.
...on this album are The Celts, I Want Tomorrow (with a bizarre electric guitar solo half way through), Fairytale, March of the Celts and Boadicea. This album laid the foundations for a hugely succesful career and let us know just how talented she is. Die hard Enya fans will know that there is actually two versions of this album available. The original BBC Records release from 1987 featuring a black and white photo of Enya on the front and the 1992 ...

The first album from the teacher of guitar gods
Advantages: very feasible for the collection Disadvantages: not joe's best guitar sound
...progression of its cord is not too dynamic, and can be spelled out very monoton, it seen that joe is trying to show the aspect of guitar improvising to a particular style (maybe mixolydian, lydian), that in the end, its become the embryo of his trademark.. 2. The snake – 4:40 – Slap bass technique and its electro kind of sound become the characteristic of this song, the overall composition of this track does not complex, there are also some funk style ... ...unique guitar licks and may not have been played by anyone at the time, successfully mixed very good by joe, the composition slightly progressive, and joe played quite complex guitar melody.. 5. Brother john – 2:07 – this song is not accompanied with any musical instrument, only guitar cord that sounds very experimental and quite unique, its like describing a deep sadness…with the clean guitar sound and thick tone, joe play something i’ve never heard ...
